Leasedrive Velo is able to provide a fully managed multi-channel disposal service, tailored to meet individual client needs. With Fleet Management clients usually bearing the risk of disposal a high level of importance is placed on quickly establishing a robust and efficient solution.

By adopting a more proactive and personalised approach to vehicle disposals, Leasedrive Velo is able to achieve returns over and above the more traditional industry disposal methods.

Leasedrive Velo can provide a web-based employee sales function, enabling employees to purchase ex-company cars from their employer, or if permitted, a selection of used cars from other sources.

From experience the disposal programme will be influenced by the client's culture and internal policies. A typical disposal solution utilising various different routes to market would include the following sales channels:

  1. Employee sales, normally hosted on the clients intranet
  2. Retail sales
  3. Car supermarket (semi-retail)
  4. Auction
  5. Trade bids

At the start of the process all de-fleeted vehicles would be appraised to establish their condition in accordance with BVRLA guidelines. The vehicles would then be allocated to one or more of the disposal channels. If the appraisal identified damage to a vehicle, a decision would be taken based on a pre-agreed rule set, whether or not the vehicle would benefit from undergoing refurbishment either in the form of "smart" repairs or accident repairs. The cost of refurbishment should never exceed the expected increase in resale value.
