Positive smoke signals following first major re-sign after merger
Leasedrive Velo, one of the UK's largest independent privately-owned vehicle management groups, has won its first major re-tender since its merger twelve months ago by re-signing the world's second largest tobacco group, British American Tobacco (BAT) in the UK. The full fleet management and contract hire contract agreement covers nearly 400 cars and extends the existing contract for a further three years.
Commercial director, Roddy Graham at Leasedrive Velo said: "This is terrific news for the group as we participated in a comprehensive full re-tender exercise involving a dozen suppliers. BAT was originally a Velo client and was won over by the system enhancements it now benefits from through our online totally-integrated fleet management system, Drive:Manager, our transparent pricing and our fleet industry knowledge. To have entered our first major re-tender following the merger and won is a brilliant start to the year."
Viv Windrum, fleet manager at BAT, commented: "We conducted a very serious review to ensure we were getting the best fleet management service available within the industry.
