John Lewis Partnership Opts for Drive:Manager

The John Lewis Partnership, one of the UK's top ten retailers, has become one of the first companies to opt for Drive:Manager from the Leasedrive Group to support its back office fleet management function. By using Drive:Manager, the bespoke online total fleet management solution, the John Lewis Partnership aims to more effectively manage in-house its current circa 1000-strong vehicle fleet of company cars.
Commercial director, Roddy Graham said: "This represents a first for us. Following a multi-million pound investment over the last eighteen months, we have decided to license out to selected outside customers what we believe to be the very best leading-edge quality business solutions in the fleet industry. Effectively, we are providing the John Lewis Partnership with the ultimate desktop tool to support its back office fleet management function."
Chris Miles, fleet manager at the John Lewis Partnership, commented: "Drive:Manager is clearly a cutting edge web-based system, which will provide us with a ready-made solution for fleet management processing and reporting online. The attention to detail and meticulous pre-implementation planning and work undertaken by the Leasedrive team, led by Ivor Johnson the Fleet Management and Operations Director, has been excellent. I am sure that Drive:Manager will prove an indispensable and vital tool for us in significantly improving the control and operational efficiencies of our vehicle fleet."
Drive:Manager is a fully-integrated web-based system providing online fleet support. The John Lewis Partnership has chosen a suite of solutions available under Drive:Manager. These include Fleet:Manager, Service:Manager, Admin:Manager and Info:Manager.
John Lewis will be able to order new vehicles and track progress through production and delivery via Fleet:Manager. Once vehicles are on the road, routine servicing, unforeseen maintenance and repair work can all be booked, authorised and paid for online through Service:Manager.
Driver services, infringement management, service reviews and document import are covered by Admin:Manager. Meanwhile, the fleet decision makers within the John Lewis Partnership can make the most informed decisions, based on the best available and clearest management information across all critical databases through Info:Manager.
Drive:Manager seamlessly combines the three best industry-leading software applications - CHP ALFA, epyx 1Link and Business Objects - into one fully-integrated solution.
The John Lewis Partnership is one of the UK's top ten retail businesses with 27 John Lewis department stores and more than 160 Waitrose supermarkets. It is also the country's largest example of worker co-ownership. All 63,000 staff are partners in the business. The John Lewis Partnership believes that the commitment of partners to its business is a unique source of competitive advantage, which has fuelled 75 years of profitable growth and a reputation among customers and suppliers unparalleled in the UK retail industry.
