Leasedrive Signs Driveaway Deal with Orange
Leasedrive Group, one of the largest independent privately-owned vehicle management groups in the UK, has been appointed by Orange as the supplier of choice for the implementation and launch of Driveaway, a low cost car scheme for all UK-based employees. The new scheme is in addition to the exclusive vehicle leasing and rental agreement in place since 1995. Driveaway went live on July 19 and will benefit up to 14,000 Orange employees, including those not entitled to a company car or cash allowance.
Commercial director, Roddy Graham said: "We are delighted to have become the partner of choice for this additional new business from Orange. We have enjoyed an exceptional relationship with Orange and have been in discussions with them for some time on how we can help introduce exciting new employee benefits. This new scheme widens the employee benefits package for all employees and, by giving Orange staff access to great fleet deals, encourages them all to drive cleaner and more fuel efficient vehicles."
"Orange employees will benefit from a wide choice of new vehicles from Mercedes and Renault. These will be offered at specially-negotiated manufacturer discounts backed by a competitive APR. Unlike the majority of schemes, no deposit will be required. And as employees will be entering into a credit sale agreement, they will not be liable for Benefit In Kind tax."
Cathy Devereux, head of UK reward at Orange said: "As a company with a strong reputation for product and service innovation, we are constantly looking at novel ideas that make working for Orange even more enjoyable and attractive. Our relationship with Leasedrive goes back a long way and their knowledge, advice, flexibility and new systems capability have proven invaluable in allowing us to design and implement this new scheme. We are sure it will prove to be extremely popular among all our employees."
The new scheme will be jointly promoted via a new dedicated Driveaway website, on the Orange intranet site, through a Driveaway handbook plus innovative marketing initiatives and manufacturer days. Orange employees will be able to obtain a quotation, gain credit approval and order a new car online. At the end of the contract, employees will be able to pay the guaranteed future value and retain ownership or return the vehicle and take out a new scheme or simply return the vehicle.
The Orange group is one of the world's largest mobile communications companies, with operations in 19 countries across Europe and beyond.
