Graham in Training For Ian Botham's Valleys Walk 2003
Leasedrive Group's commercial director, Roddy Graham is in training for the
ninth and final leg of Ian Botham's Valleys Walk 2003 between Cwmbran and
Newport. Former England cricketer and TV commentator, Botham is bidding to raise
nearly a £1m towards the Noah's Ark Appeal to build and equip the first
Children's Hospital for Wales.
The group is providing four cars and three vans for the duration of the nine-day Valleys Walk 2003 in October.
Commercial Director, Roddy Graham said: "Ian doesn't hang around on these walks. In raising millions of pounds for worthwhile causes, he maintains a consistently high walking pace of 4.3 miles per hour. I'm sure we will both need a beer or two when we reach the finish at Newport Rugby Club!"
The Valleys Walk 2003, through the valleys of south east Wales, starts in Chepstow on October 3 and finishes in Newport on October 11. The total length of the walk is 210 miles.
